Meet Jaymilli A Singer/Rapper Inline To Becoming The Next Big Act In The Nigerian Music Industry

One profession in Nigeria that individuals with big cheque books and fat bank accounts are gradually putting their money on, at the moment, is the music industry in Nigeria. Record labels and super talented independent music artistes are begining to emerge from all parts of the country to contribute to the ever growing music industry that has become the biggest in Africa. Born Kennedy Oghenemusaname Johnson, as the second born of 4 children to Mr Wilson and Mrs Dolly Eshemokhia, who hails from Edo State. Jaymilli is a Singer, Rapper, Music Producer, Sound Engineer, and Fashion Brand Influencer.


Growing up, he attended American Model Grammar School for his primary education where he proceeded to St Margaret Secondary School from 2003 to 2009. He then proceeded to the Film And Broadcast Academy ( FABA ), Ozoro, Delta State, where he bagged a National Diploma in Film And Television Production, in the year 2011 .


While at the Film And Broadcast Academy Ozoro, Jaymilli frequented the music recording studio of the institution, where he met other students practicing music. There he groomed his inborn music talent and learnt music production which he later took up as a profession.


Professionally, he debuted the Nigerian music industry in 2017 and has since dropped ‘TRUTH EP’, and his most recent one ‘THE JIGGY EP’ that houses the following songs: ‘JIGGY GRIND’, ‘JIGGY SIGN’, ‘JIGGY PANTS’, and ‘GOD IS JIGGY.’


He also has to his credit the following singles: ‘MALOWA’, ‘POKO’, ‘SHANO’, ‘FIREMAN’, and the street anthem ‘MANDY.’ He is got an already cooked song that would be released come 15th October titled ‘READY.’ A song that projects his readiness to take on the Nigerian music industry and the music scene of the world at large.


He sees himself as a fulfilled musician as making music gives him joy, and the feedback he has been getting from his fanbase so far has been all positive.


Giving up his music to pursue another profession has never been a thing for him even though it has not been easy using his resources to push his music to the point he is right now. They positive reviews from his fanbase about his music has kept him going.


10 years from now, he sees himself as a more established musician on the list of top 10 most popular Nigerian musicians influencing upcoming acts, as he appreciates the fast growing global demand for Nigerian music.
